The "Event Center" is where you are given a full overview of any changes to your payments since you last logged on. While you may be able to manually deduce where and why a payment has been moved, this page is meant to supply a more automatic means of monitoring your payments. The central element of the Events Center is a table showing the events received in the current session. If you are interested in older events from other sessions, please refer to the "Audit trail" on your user settings page. The table contents are as follows:
- Time - the local time when the event was logged.
- Transaction ID - Clicking on the Transaction ID reveals more detailed information.
- Action - an icon indicating one of the following:
- The remote acquirer accepted the payment
- The remote acquirer declined the payment
- There was an error, and a retry button is shown.
Hovering the mouse over an error icon displays an overlay with either "Back-end communication error", or "Acquirer communication error". The first error type encompasses all errors that occur while talking to the back-end, including time-outs and server errors. The second type indicates that communication with the remote acquirer failed.
When an event occurs, it is also displayed in an overlay at the top of your screen. If ignored and no other events occur, it disappears again after five seconds.
Clicking "More" expands the overlay to reveal the last five payments. The event lines contain the same information as the table in the Events center, however slightly less detailed. Like in the "Event Center", transaction ID's are clickable, and lead to the clicked payment's details.
Clicking on "see all" takes you directly to the "Event Center". "Minimize" returns the overlay to its unexpanded state, and it will disappear entirely if no more events arrive within five seconds.
